Frodo
This adorable black chow has been in the shelter for over
two years. He’s got first-hand experience on the difficulty of getting adopted
when you’re a big dog who’s been in the pen for so long, constantly moving from
one shelter to the next.

What a wonderful way to help people connect with and come to know how the animals at shelters must be feeling! I think these videos are great, I cried watching Velvet's video. He looks alot like Garfield, the kitten I adopted at a shelter. He and his litter mate were orphanend when their mom was hit by a car. I hope that Velvet and all his cat and dog friends at the shelter find there forever homes soon.

thank's for the animal shelter that take care Frodo.and by seeing this video,I believe Frodo is a kind dog even maybe he bark loud.Frodo just need some exercise and spend time with energic activity. dogs like Frodo fits/compatible with people who like outdoor activities like swimmer on the beach,or even fire fighters.just love the dogs and, believe me they also love you back in so many ways..
Oh I am so happy that Frodo was adopted. I fell immediately in love with him. I once had a black chow and he was so wonderful and loving. Thank you to Frodo's new family. God bless you. Please give him love, understanding, patience, rewards, freedom, good food and security at last.
I am a volunteer at the shelter profiled in the video (the Humane Society of Williamson County)...Our website is www.hswc.net.
Frodo was adopted and is in a wonderful home now!!
Frodo, don't give up hope.I help with a local shelter and just got a dog similer to your story adopted after being
there well over a year.May i suggest someone take you to some sort of event, shopping mall, etc.By doing that you can get one on one exposure.Chances are better if your the only one to get attention.Good luck.
These videos are fantastic! I took in an adult Chow several years ago, Bartleby, and I can't imagine my life without him. He is big, funny, stubborn and the most loving creature I've ever known. Frodo could add a ton of personality to someone's home!
Love the video and commentary on Frodo! I volunteer at my local shelter and I know first hand how much more difficult it is to place the larger dogs, and unfortunately, especially the big, black dogs - they seem to intimidate people more. This video shows that we have to get past that and give the dog a chance to show their true colors, not judge them on their size and color.
Keep up the good work! We'll keep our paws crossed that Frodo will find his forever home soon.
You know, being an animal lover just makes me want to take this guy home!! SUch a great qulaity video and concept. WAY TO GO ONNETWORKS!!
Frodo is awesome! I use to have a tan chow and he was an awesome dog. I hope he finds the perfect home.
These break my heart. I wish I could adopt them all. Thanks for creating these fantastic videos. I hope someone adopts Frodo soon.
Very good! A fantastic way to educate the public on how long animals can remain in shelters. Especially, the black dogs. Thank You for your hard work and hope Frodo gets adopted very soon.
This is absolutely the best thing I've watched in a long time!!
I love the video of Frodo, god bless you for looking after and saving these dear animals, and not putting them down, I hope Frodo soon finds a forever home as with all your animals, many thoughts and prayers for you all.Marie Willcox France.
I really like and appreciate this video. I think you've done a good job of capturing what the shelter process probably feels like to this dog. It's important for us to have that insight. Thank you so much for this beautiful work. My thoughts and prayers are with Frodo that he find a loving and joyous new home soon.
